SLY Art Space was established in 1995 and has been operated collaboratively and autonomously by artists, adopting a decentralized operational model. In 2017, faced with a crisis due to organizational fragmentation, it streamlined its structure to enable more efficient management. In 2023, following the urban redevelopment of its original location, SLY Art Space relocated to Taoyuan.

SLY Art Space provides a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work, guided by a creative spirit rooted in experimentation and contemporaneity. It has hosted numerous solo exhibitions featuring diverse creative formats and organizes exhibitions, cultural research projects, and international exchange workshops annually. With a multidisciplinary, transregional, and cross-community approach, SLY Art Space strives to establish diverse perspectives on contemporary art and culture in Taiwan.
