Center Projects

Projects

This research center is dedicated to the core theme of artist residency and is advancing four key project areas. These projects, which cover operational strategies, data integration, talent development, and cultural sustainability, are designed to shape a healthy and forward-thinking arts and culture ecosystem.

Arts and Culture Organization Management

This project explores management models and operational strategies for artist residency organizations, focusing on:

  1. Financial sustainability
  2. Effective resource allocation
  3. Building diverse collaborative mechanisms

The goal is to propose viable management models that help arts and culture organizations strengthen their foundational systems and long-term development potential.

Database Establishment

This initiative involves building a professional database with information on artist residency both in Taiwan and abroad. It will include:

  1. Organized information on artist residency organizations.
  2. Compiled data on local and international arts and culture professionals (creators, researchers, and curators)

By creating a systematic data structure, the project will enhance the foundational capacity for arts and culture policy and research.

Talent Development

This project will create a platform for exchange among arts and culture workers and organization managers. The platform will cover:

  1. Practical management and operations for arts organizations
  2. International connections and shared residency experiences
  3. Integrated planning for new artist residency.

This will strengthen the practical skills and systematic thinking of arts professionals, fostering their ability to adapt across different fields.

Cultural Impact and Sustainability Assessment

This project focuses on developing assessment tools and methodologies to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the social and environmental impact of arts and culture organizations. It will involve:

  1. Using sustainability indicators to evaluate the long-term impact of artist residency.
  2. Creating an assessment system that is adaptable to local contexts and aligned with international standards
  3. Helping various types of residency organizations conduct self-assessments
  4. Shaping an arts ecosystem that is public-oriented, environmentally friendly, and socially engaged

The goal is to establish an indicator system to serve as a basis for policy advocacy, institutional self-assessment, and future development planning.
