Eligibility:
1.Applicants must be 20 years old or above, regardless of nationality.
2.International artists must have English or Chinese communication skills.
3.Traditional puppet theater practitioners, contemporary puppet theater practitioners, or creators engaged in other types of art who are interested in incorporating puppet theater concepts into their works.
4.Creators who integrate environmental sustainability into their creative practice.
5.This program only accepts individual applications.

Rewards:
Option A-1 [On-site Creation]: Subsidy of NT$3,500 for promotion activity materials, reimbursed based on actual expensesOption A-2 [On-site Creation]: Subsidy of NT$3,500 for art experience activity materials, reimbursed based on actual expenses
Option B [Micro Creation]: Creation and material fee totaling NT$20,000, and a subsidy of NT$3,500 for promotion activity materials, reimbursed based on actual expenses

Outcome:
Option A-1: Artist self-introduction and sharing sessio, Public promotion activities: total of at least 4 hours, forms and target audiences may include: workshops (campus, general public, professionals), lectures (campus, general public), creative exchange sessions (arts and cultural practitioners), End-of-residency sharing session: sharing of residency life and creative work.

Option A-2: Artist self-introduction and sharing session, Two-day "Color Party Art Festival" art experience activities: primarily targeting parent-child groups, activity forms include but are not limited to: art workshops, handcraft creation, interactive participation activities), End-of-residency sharing session: sharing of residency life and creative work.

Option A-3: Artist self-introduction and sharing session, Public promotion activities: total of at least 4 hours, forms may include: workshops (campus, general public, professionals), lectures (campus, general public), creative exchange sessions (arts and cultural practitioners), End-of-residency sharing session: sharing of residency life and creative work, Artist Residency Outcome Exhibition: October 17 (Sat) to October 18 (Sun), 2026, a ticketed "Artist in Residence Program Open Lab Mini Festival" will be held. Artists are required to participate in the two-day outcome exhibition, presenting a 20-30 minute creative excerpt or staged performance with an Artists Talk.

None (Accommodation space provided by the puppet village)

Paid by Artist:
1.Visa fees for international artists
2.International travel insurance for international artists
3.International travel and creation expenses (can only be claimed at the end of the residency; please assess and plan for advance payment)
4.Prepare personal creative information, special creative tools, and daily necessities
5.Artists are responsible for obtaining copyrights for music used in their creative presentations

Paid by Host:
1.Airport pick-up for international artists
2.Accommodation space
3.Lunch at the puppet village cafeteria from Monday to Friday
4.Shared creative rehearsal space (Warehouse No. 6)
5.Basic tools and materials (fees may be charged based on type and quantity of use)
6.Creative consultation with the residency program curator
7.General travel accident insurance during the residency
8.Provision of living information and local arts and cultural activity participation information
9.Assistance in arranging and executing promotional activities in schools and communities

Financial Assistance:
Option A-1 [On-site Creation]: Subsidy of NT$3,500 for promotion activity materials
Option A-2 [On-site Creation]: Subsidy of NT$3,500 for art experience activity materials
Option B [Micro Creation]: Creation and material fee totaling NT$20,000, and a subsidy of NT$3,500 for promotion activity materials

Lize Puppet Art Colony (No. 37, Lize East Road, Wujie Township, Yilan County), Located on the Lanyang Plain, near the Dongshan River and sandy coastline, adjacent to the national-level 52-hectare wetland where migratory birds reside year-round, it is a high-quality environment embraced by nature.
