Eligibility:
AIR InSILo invites curators to examine the achievements of the current residency programme and develop a vision for a new themed open call for artists. During the residency, curators will work in-depth on their proposal, culminating in a structured project with a written component and a video interview.
Open to curators willing to design future calls for AIR InSILo, especially those who:
- Explore the concept of artist residencies
- Are interested in regional and local issues
- Critically reflect on sustainability in artistic practice
- Focus on relational ethics and solidarity within the artistic community
- Engage in socially engaged practices
Priority given to:
- Working mothers
- Underrepresented curators
- Curators from countries with minimal cultural support
- LGBTIQA+ representatives
Students are not eligible (except for PhD candidates).

Rewards:
An honorarium of 2,625 EUR (flat rate; regardless of individual or collective; no fees or taxes covered), travel cost coverage up to 300 EUR, and transport cost coverage up to 200 EUR.

Outcome:
A completed proposal for a future artist open call, including a written report and a video interview.

Selection Procedure:
First round deadline: April 16, 2025, 16:00 CEST; shortlist announced on April 25; shortlisted applicants have 4 days to update applications; final results by May 12.

Application Fees:
7 EUR solidarity fee (waivable if required)

Paid by Artist:
Living expenses (covered by honorarium)

Paid by Host:
Accommodation, workspace, honorarium, travel and transport cost coverage

Financial Assistance:
Use of AIR InSILo facilities and equipment; featuring in InSILo Magazine; digital PR support; invitation to co-curate future calls upon successful project funding.
