Eligibility:
1.Artists or artistic researchers from Arabic-speaking countries.
2.Commit to the program in its entirety and be released from all other professional activities during the entire period of the residency.
3.Willingness to spend three months on-site at ZKM in Karlsruhe.
4.English proficiency at B2 level.
5.Public showcasing of the developed work during the time of the residency.
Rewards:
1.Provision of economy-class round-trip airfare to Germany.
2.Accommodation and workspace during the residency.
3.Monthly stipend to support living expenses.
Outcome:
Artists are expected to create works related to the residency theme and present them at the end of the residency.
Participation in the Chaos Computer Club-Congress from December 27 to 30, 2025.
Selection Procedure:
A selection committee will evaluate applicants based on the quality of their work, relevance to the theme, and the innovation of their proposals.

Paid by Artist:
Personal living expenses exceeding the stipend and other unspecified personal expenditures.
Paid by Host:
1.Cost of living expenses: 800 EUR per month.
2.Material costs: up to 2,000 EUR.
3.Round-trip airfare (Economy class).
4.Visa fees.
5.Accommodation in flat-share artist apartment in Karlsruhe.
6.The ticket to visit the Chaos Communication Congress (travel to and accommodation in Hamburg incl., ticket sponsored by the CCC).
Financial Assistance:
Provision of technical equipment and professional guidance to support artistic creation.
Studio / Workspace:
Fully equipped workspace, including digital art, sound, and visual creation equipment.
Accommodation:
Single-room accommodation with basic furnishings and Wi-Fi.
Other Facilities:
Access to ZKM media library and research resources.
Opportunities for exchange with artists, curators, and technical experts.
