Eligibility:
1. Applicants are not restricted by nationality but must be at least 20 years old.
2. International artists should possess communication skills in either English or Mandarin.
3. Traditional puppetry practitioners, contemporary puppetry artists, or creators engaged in other art forms interested in incorporating puppetry concepts into their work are eligible to apply.
4. This program only accepts individual applications.

Outcome:
Plan A [ Residential Creativity ]
1. Workshops: At least two promotional workshops or lecture
events will be arranged by the organizers.
2. Public Sharing: One session for the artist to introduce themselves and share their creative concepts.
One session to share residency outcomes and personal experiences.

Plan B [ Miniature Creation ]
1. Workshops: At least two promotional workshops will be organized by the host.
2. Artist Talks: Two talks will be arranged by the host.
3. Public Sharing Sessions: One session for the artist to introduce themselves and share their creative concepts.
One session to share residency outcomes and personal experiences.
4. Residency Showcase: Artists are required to participate in the "Residency Artist Program Open Lab" on October 18-19, 2025, with a two-day showcase of their work.

Selection Process: The organizers will form a committee for evaluation. Due to limited resources and positions, we apologize to those who are not selected and encourage you to apply for other related programs in the future.

Participation Fees:
Plan B [ Miniature Creation ] Creation Fee: NT$20,000.

Residency Fees:
Plan A [ Residential Creativity ]
Workshop Materials: NT$3,500, reimbursed upon actual expense.

Plan B [ Miniature Creation ]
Workshop Materials Fee: NT$5,000 (reimbursable upon receipt submission).

Accommodation Fee:
Accommodation: Provided.

Paid by Artist:
The artist is responsible for obtaining the copyright for the music
used in the creative presentation.

Residency Artists
(1) International artists are responsible for their visa application fees.
Additionally, various international travel and creative expenses will only be reimbursed at the end of the residency. Please plan ahead and be aware of self-financing arrangements.
(2) Prepare personal creative information, basic tools, and necessary living items.
(3) As the Puppet Colony is an open space, if there are visitors, the studio should be open, and interactions with visitors for creative exchange should be facilitated.
(4) Cooperate with and participate in any related press conferences or media promotional activities.
(5) Audiovisual and textual documentation of the creative and presentation
processes during the residency period are jointly owned by the creator
and the organizing committee. Both parties can use them for research
and promotional purposes. For commercial use, separate agreements
must be made.

Paid by Host:
Airport Transfers: Provided for international artists.
Shared Creative Space: Access to Barn No. 6 and basic equipment.
Technical Consultation: Provided by an international affairs specialist during the residency.

Financial Assistance:
Lize Puppet Art Colony
(1) Provide general travel safety insurance during the residency period; international artists should bear the insurance costs during their international travel.
(2) Provide information on daily life and participation in local cultural and artistic activities.
(3) Assist in arranging and facilitating promotional educational activities within schools or communities.
