This residency program is open to artists and artist collectives, researchers, and curators of all nationalities, without age restrictions, who can demonstrate a minimum of five years of professional activity and have exhibited their works and research internationally.
Whether your application concerns the first residency session (March-August 2025) or the second session (September 2025-February 2026), you must submit your application to this current call.
Eligible artistic disciplines include: visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, art criticism, and curatorial practices.
Eligible research fields include: humanities, social sciences, sciences, technological innovation, and ecology.

A 3 or 6-month residency in the Cité internationale des arts Montmartre site, in Paris

Outcome:
Residents undertake to respect the general regulations and accept the residency dates which will be granted to them by the selection committee. During the residency, the artist and/or collectives will be asked to participate in the life of the site from time to time: he/she/they will take part in meetings with the public (schools, associations), studio visits by professionals from the art world,
workshops, the Open studios: Montmartre Meetings, conferences or any other activity that enhances his/her/their practice and allows it to be known by as many people as possible.
The residency programmes are designed to accompany a project in its entirety or only one stage of it: no rendering is required at the end of the residency.

Selection Procedure:
Eventually, 20 resident artists will be selected. In addition to assessing the professional background of the candidates, the jury will also pay special attention to the quality of their residency program, its connection with the theme of the residency (reflection on contemporary social, political, environmental and scientific and technological issues), and the project's impact on France. importance of the development of this location.
The selection committee is composed of international figures from the art and research worlds.

Application Fees:

Participation Fees:
A grant of 1,000 euros per month

Residency Fees:

Paid by Artist:
Transportation, visa, living expenses such as food, travel insurance

Paid by Host:
A studio-apartment of about 50m2 (only one double bed), fully equipped and furnished

For the COLLECTIVE programme, one studio-apartment (a bedroom with a double bed, a workspace, a kitchen and a bathroom) can be made available for only one member from the collective. The workspace may be shared with the other members of the collective. The living grant will be paid only to the resident housed at the Cité internationale des arts - Montmartre site and a common production grant will be allocated to the project. Residents agree to respect the general rules and to accept the dates of residency that will have been granted to them by the selection committee.
NB: In Tirana Art Residency, grant is 600 euros per month and production grant is 1,500 euros
